While on a business trip to Israel in the fall of 2017, Mr. Caffey was speaking with a cybersecurity expert and noticed he could see documents such as Word, and PDF documents on the computer screen of the cybersecurity expert. He thought to himself, “What if we could create software for documents that would shut off for any unauthorized ‘face’ viewing that document or screen?” Mr. Caffey immediately connected with a group of Israeli software developers and created Smart Eye Technology, Inc. in January 2018. Mr. Caffey grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, where he earned his B.S. Degree in Finance from Youngstown State University. He currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife.
