Minister of Education

 His Excellency Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi was appointed UAE Minister of Education on July 4, 2014. His Excellency concurrently holds several other positions in the field of education. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance, Chairman of the Higher Committee of Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Learning Program, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Abu Dhabi Institute of Vocational Education and Training (ADVETI), Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Institute of Applied Technology (IAT), Member of the Board of Directors at Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research, and Member of the Board of Directors, Khalifa Award for Education.

His Excellency Al Hammadi received a BS degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle University in the United States. Throughout his career, HE has acquired diverse specialized expertise, which has enabled him to efficiently manage and execute his various responsibilities. His initiatives have had a great impact on achieving paramount advancements in education, technical and vocational training, and strengthening the connection of this kind of specialized education to the developmental needs of the UAE and the country’s future aspirations, laying the corner stone for the empowerment of the Emirati workforce.
